It warmed up a bit today, enough for Maria to only require her new spring jacket.  She sure has grown up over the past year.

For Christmas, Henry received money for a new bike from all of his grandparents and from his parents.  He and Timon picked one out yesterday, and he’s been going non-stop… so fast, in fact, that this somewhat blurry picture is the best I could do.

Here’s another from last week’s trip to Sea World – this tree was HUGE and gorgeous all lit up at night.

Maryliz, this pie was the BEST lemon meringue pie ever created.  I can’t wait to make another one.

[used lemons from our neighbor’s tree]

This [poorly exposed due to the use of flash] photo is one of my favorites from yesterday – Henry was in the middle of explaining his deep desire for toy lightsabers to Santa, who sagely nodded and said, “Oh yes, from Star Wars.  That sounds good.”

Palm tree and snow… magic that only Sea World provides.  Henry and I had THE BEST DAY today.

I’d love to take the time to figure out why I got lens flare from the tree lights, but I feel like donkey and, let’s face it, we’re all lucky I got a photo up at all today.

[Feeling slightly flu-ish, just in time for all my Christmas music commitments and lots of time to spend with the family.  Naturally.]

And this, children, is why you put a UV filter on your very expensive camera lenses.

[This $10 filter saved a $250 lens after it hit the floor last night.  PHEW!]
