My dad’s last day of his second career is today, 10 years after he retired from his first one (which lasted 32). Happy retirement, Dad!
[See you Friday!]
Timon and I were snuggling on the couch yesterday when we noticed it had gotten a little too quiet. After a minute Henry told me to come into our bedroom with the camera, because they were “doing something really, really cute.” I suppose some might think turning the dirty clothes basket into a little bed is cute.
I found these at the thrift store today – we had these exact versions while growing up! The best $1.75 ever!
This was the view from our screened-in porch at the cottage in Georgia. That is, it’s the view once you brushed 70,468 gnats off that were swarming around your face. (I’m pretty sure GA doesn’t stand for Georgia, it stands for Gnats Attack.)
We were at the lake on our trip and I almost stepped on this little dude! I promise you, this turtle was the same size as that spider I put up yesterday. Let’s sum this up: Spider the size of a silver dollar = terrifying. Turtle the size of a silver dollar = super adorable.
